Hygienic-sanitary course on risk installations in the face of Legionella

Legionella is a bacteria that, although found in low concentrations in the natural environment, is quite common in water towers, swimming pools, and other installations, posing a serious danger to human health.

With this course, you will not only learn key aspects of Legionellosis, but also gain the knowledge and skills that will enable you to carry out the prevention, control, and maintenance of Legionella in all types of high-risk installations.

Who is it aimed at?

This course is aimed at training those responsible for carrying out the maintenance and treatment of legionella in all types of risk facilities, according to Royal Decree RD487/2022

By high-risk installations, we refer to those located inside or outside buildings for collective use, industrial installations, or mobile media (cooling towers, industrial humidifiers, etc.).

Duration

25 hours for obtaining the certificate. 10 hours for the recovery course.

Objetives

One of the main objectives of the course is to provide the necessary knowledge to effectively prevent Legionella and the health risks derived from Legionellosis.

It also provides sufficient skills to carry out all types of hygienic-sanitary maintenance operations and control the risk of Legionellosis transmission, in accordance with Royal Decree 352/2004.

Course for water handler

Systems for the supply of water for human consumption are subject to rigorous surveillance and control systems, which allow the water to be consumed safely.

With this course, you will acquire the necessary knowledge to carry out maintenance, cleaning, disinfection, or analysis tasks (sampling). You will also learn to develop control protocols and identify the main health risks of a water supply system.

Target audience

This course has been specially designed for technical installers and maintainers of equipment and installations for drinking water, personnel responsible for water analysis, professionals related to water management, as well as for any type of worker from any sector who needs to be in direct contact with drinking water.

Duration

7 hours

Objectives

The main objective of this course is to provide the necessary knowledge and skills for the handling of drinking water, in accordance with current regulations, in terms of hygiene and health.

At the end of the training, you will have sufficient knowledge about the correct ways of handling water, the required hygiene standards, installations, or sampling, among many other aspects.

Course for swimming pool operator

The Swimming Pool Operator Course provides specialized information in order to effectively carry out cleaning, disinfection, control, and maintenance of swimming pools according to current legislation.

On the one hand, Royal Decree 742/2013 establishes and unifies the technical and health criteria for swimming pools at the national level, and on the other hand, Royal Decree 165/2001 is the autonomous legislation in Catalonia that determines that pool maintenance and operation personnel must have this specialized training.

Target audience

This course is aimed at operators and managers responsible for the maintenance of swimming pools and/or recreational aquatic facilities for public use.

According to current autonomous legislation, these professionals must have the necessary training to guarantee the proper functioning, control, and maintenance of these facilities.

Duration

8 hours for advanced training. 12 hours for intensive training.

Objectives

The main objective of the Swimming Pool Operator Course is to provide the necessary knowledge to carry out proper maintenance of the facilities, including cleaning, disinfection, and control.

In addition, this course covers the basic aspects established both in national legislation (Royal Decree 742/2013) and in autonomous legislation (Royal Decree 165/2001).

Chemical products handler

The incorrect storage of chemical products involves certain risks and the possibility of suffering accidents that can compromise the health of both people and the environment.

This course arises from the need to train professionals capable of carrying out the correct maintenance and storage of all types of chemical products, regardless of the work environment and always taking into account the current legislation.

Who is it aimed at?
  • Companies that distribute and store chemical products.
  • Suppliers or distributors of drinking water.
  • Municipalities.
  • Sports centers that have aquatic facilities.
  • Industries that apply treatments to resulting or involved water in the production process.
Duration

3 hours.

This course provides the necessary knowledge to apply the regulations on the storage of chemical products, the Royal Decree 656/2017, which approves the new Regulation of Storage of Chemical Products and its Complementary Technical Instructions MIE APQ 0 to 10.

The main objective of this course is to train professionals capable of carrying out the correct storage and maintenance of chemical products.
